these couple of weeks have been a bit busy, and next week is going to be as well. ahhh... here's what my schedule looks like for the next few days:
today/sunday:
packing, work, packing, sleep

monday:
work, phone interview, somehow be at both my old and new apartments to change the utilities, packing..

tuesday:
9am- movers coming to move my things, work, clean old apartment

ahhhh....i've always had help packing before from family and friends.. eh.

i'm extremely happy about my move! my new apartment is light and airy, with lots of history in its architecture which seeps into my psyche in all the best ways.

my fb status from the other day on this very topic:
"there's a timelessness in the air on summer evenings. maybe that's what i've been feeling, the tug on my soul of the history of a place."

i'm in the phase of the moving process where i'm starting to lose my enthusiasm for the move. just because of the added stress of all that needs to be done. also, i've been eating a lot of fast food the past few days, which is sapping my energy and general well-being. also, i washed all of my bedding and towels and things, and i was going to dry them at karima's since we were going out friday evening, well, we were running late and i Forgot to at least lay them out on karima's back porch... le sigh. i spent five dollars washing those things.. now they need to be rewashed. ugghh.. but soon i'll be moved, things will be washed, i'll procure a cheap table to turn into a work desk for my sewing and crafting...

im very excited and prepared for my phone interview monday! its with an organization that is pretty much my teaching philosophy in a tangible form! i really hope i get the position. i would be using my degree, and doing what i was meant to.

i went out friday evening, it was fun, but i kind of wished i'd stayed in instead.. final friday in otr was fun! my friends band played well, but the venue was very stiff and formal, and too crowded. its probably true that i've turned into a bit of a recluse, but i enjoy my own company lately more than attending large social functions. i really only want the company of a few good people with good drinks, and good food. perhaps with a little bit of music, and a lot of conversation. i don't really care for the bar scene, never have except for a stint last summer. and that phase was fueled by emotional turmoil and also because i'd never lived in a place where there were bars not overrun with frat douches. mostly i miss my jenbot and my logan. theyre my family and theyre too far away for my old car to make the journey to them and back. im contenting myself with knitting and sewing them their birthday and christmas presents. that puts my intense missing them feelings to good use!

ahhh! so much to update..

i finally found an apartment! it has hardwood flooring everywhere but the kitchen and bathroom!, lots of windows that i cannot wait to sew curtains for!, delicious old cast iron radiators-all silvery with scrollwork!!! its above a nice shop and across the street from what i hear is a very nice restaurant-it looks like i'll never be able to afford eating there, but i like what it adds to my street. hah. its a very safe area, so that makes me happy. [im a paranoid sort, and also very small and physically bereft of muscleyness] its also on the busline, as in, there are two stops within walking distance! im also within walking distance of a public library, 20th century theatre, a comic book shop, and more-i have lots of exploring to do! if i really want to stretch my legs i can walk to rookwood pavilion and busken and all that racket. i shall once the weather is brisk!

i'll post pictures soon!!!

i have three skirts sewn for my ladies to model for my website and/or etsy store!! i may just bypass etsy and make my own site. etsy still confuses me a bit. le sigh. my stepmom brought me her Sewing Machine to borrow at least until i visit at christmas!!! she was never able to figure it out... lets hope i can! i just found out one of my friends lives nearby me, and shes offered to show me what she knows on the sewing machine!!!

i am looking forward to Indian Summer and Autumn!! i am never happier than adorned with hand-knitted scarves, gloves, hats and sweaters, thermos of coffee in hand! i cannot wait to stride down autumnal streets with leaves swirling about my boots! ahhh boots! ohhh crotcheted tights with hand-knitted socks pulled up over my boots.....oh the glories of the coming season!!!!! my friend i mentioned who lives near me and i have laid a foundation of discussion on sewing lessons, and hunts for old bikes! i have an issue with most women's bikes- they are all two inches too tall for my safety. im done growing taller at a quarter of a century old, so its the bike that'll have to give! oh-ho! i also cannot wait to start on my christmas gifts for my adored ones! ohhh the knitting and sewing! but first i need to get my fall clothing sewn and placed on the interwebs. i canna wait till i have finished all the clothing for my ladies to model, then i can make some fall clothes for ME, hee hee.

things have been going rather well for the past month or so. ive been at my new post for a month almost, and i'm getting comfortable, getting to know my way around the crisis hotline. the most wonderful part about my job is the women and children at the shelter. getting to know so many strong people is amazing. that probably all sounded cliche or lifetime-y, but so what?

there's soul music playing, a sweet female voice asking love to stop making a fool out of her...hah, i've asked the same question recently. eh. my ex called me and wanted to meet up.. who knows why [i Know he doesnt think im a booty call, at least for his health]. then he called and told me he was too hungover to meet up. i very politely brought it to his attention that when an ex-girlfriend who broke up with you for being an asshole agrees to meet with you, against her better judgement, when you called her up the night you rode into town-instead of a few days in advance-like you gave a shit... that calling her and cancelling because you have a Hangover, is just plain weak and assholish. i really Do try and be kind, patient, empathetic. but i will NOT tolerate being disrespected, and having my friendly gestures thrown in my face by a childish boy. ahhh well.

ive been sketching and sewing up a storm! a few of my loverly lady friends are going to model my finished products for my etsy store!!! im also thinking of making a website... and begging my websaavy friends to help me there. ive been inspired by a texture or two, and the longing for autumn! and discord, discord, discord!!!
