these couple of weeks have been a bit busy, and next week is going to be as well. ahhh... here's what my schedule looks like for the next few days:
today/sunday:
packing, work, packing, sleep

monday:
work, phone interview, somehow be at both my old and new apartments to change the utilities, packing..

tuesday:
9am- movers coming to move my things, work, clean old apartment

ahhhh....i've always had help packing before from family and friends.. eh.

i'm extremely happy about my move! my new apartment is light and airy, with lots of history in its architecture which seeps into my psyche in all the best ways.

my fb status from the other day on this very topic:
"there's a timelessness in the air on summer evenings. maybe that's what i've been feeling, the tug on my soul of the history of a place."

i'm in the phase of the moving process where i'm starting to lose my enthusiasm for the move. just because of the added stress of all that needs to be done. also, i've been eating a lot of fast food the past few days, which is sapping my energy and general well-being. also, i washed all of my bedding and towels and things, and i was going to dry them at karima's since we were going out friday evening, well, we were running late and i Forgot to at least lay them out on karima's back porch... le sigh. i spent five dollars washing those things.. now they need to be rewashed. ugghh.. but soon i'll be moved, things will be washed, i'll procure a cheap table to turn into a work desk for my sewing and crafting...

im very excited and prepared for my phone interview monday! its with an organization that is pretty much my teaching philosophy in a tangible form! i really hope i get the position. i would be using my degree, and doing what i was meant to.

i went out friday evening, it was fun, but i kind of wished i'd stayed in instead.. final friday in otr was fun! my friends band played well, but the venue was very stiff and formal, and too crowded. its probably true that i've turned into a bit of a recluse, but i enjoy my own company lately more than attending large social functions. i really only want the company of a few good people with good drinks, and good food. perhaps with a little bit of music, and a lot of conversation. i don't really care for the bar scene, never have except for a stint last summer. and that phase was fueled by emotional turmoil and also because i'd never lived in a place where there were bars not overrun with frat douches. mostly i miss my jenbot and my logan. theyre my family and theyre too far away for my old car to make the journey to them and back. im contenting myself with knitting and sewing them their birthday and christmas presents. that puts my intense missing them feelings to good use!
